2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file, also known as a ‘tracker’ or ‘cookie’. A website, software application or mobile application may place this cookie on your terminal, for example your computer, tablet, smartphone or games console.

The domain name of the website, software or application is associated with the cookie. The cookie deposits information on your terminal. The cookie then consults and transmits the information you have recorded each time you log on or visit the site. However, a cookie cannot delete data already present on your terminal.

3. What is the purpose of a cookie?

3.5. Cookies may enable social networks to track your online activity:

Cookies from third parties are activated by your use of social network application buttons to share content from our website or mobile application with other people or make your opinion known. These include sharing or reaction buttons from social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.

When your terminal is connected to a social network, the application buttons on our site or our mobile application are able to identify you, even if you do not use them when visiting our site.

4. What information can be sent back by a cookie from your terminal?

A cookie only identifies your terminal. It does not directly identify you as a person unless it responds to your action of recording personal data (identification, form).

Your terminal may send back the following information:

• Identification data: IP address
• Connection data: logs
• Data relating to browsing: browsing history
• Linguistic data: language of use, possibly linked to your geolocation
• Identification data: Last name, First name, Email, User ID, Session ID
• Data relating to geolocation: approximate location

5. How long does a cookie remain on your terminal?

• While you are on our site, session cookies are temporarily deposited. They expire as soon as you leave the site. For example, they may keep a record of the items you have placed in the shopping basket during a single purchase session without activating your customer account.
• For a maximum of 13 months after they are first deposited, persistent cookies can send information back from your terminal. This period is not extended by your subsequent visits.
• Information collected via persistent cookies may be retained for 25 months.

Once the above retention periods have expired, we do not retain any data about you. At the most, we may anonymise your data for statistical purposes.

6. With whom do we share the information collected?

Cookies fall into two categories:

• Proprietary cookies, also known as ‘first party cookies’: These cookies ensure that the site you are accessing functions properly. For example, they are used to remember your display preferences and therefore make it easier for you to navigate a site.
• Third-party cookies: These are cookies placed on our website or mobile application by partner companies. The purpose of these cookies is often to collect information intended to study your behaviour, anonymously or not, and your advertising and marketing preferences.

We use both proprietary cookies and third-party cookies. Either our partners collect data solely for us and according to our instructions. They are then our subcontractors and we are responsible for processing this data. Or our partners collect data for us and for re-use themselves, in which case we are jointly responsible for its processing.

7. What provisions must we respect when using cookies?

The law requires online publishers to inform users and obtain their consent before inserting cookies. The law applies regardless of the type of terminal used and connected to the Internet. These provisions stem from :

• The ePrivacy Directive 2009/136/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009, in force since 26 August 2011,
• The General Data Protection Regulation EU 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, known as ‘RGPD’, in force since 25 May 2018,
• Law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms, and in particular Article 82 thereof, in force since 1 June 2019,
• The CNIL guidelines on cookies and other tracers adopted on 17 September 2020.

8. What are your rights?

With regard to cookies, you have the following rights:

• The right to be clearly informed about the data collected and the purpose of cookies, before any cookie is deposited.
• The right to refuse superfluous cookies.
• The right to withdraw at any time the consent you may have given us to deposit cookies.
• More generally, you also have various rights over your personal data, within the limits and conditions authorised by the Law and the rights of third parties:
• The right of access: You may ask us for a copy of the personal data concerning you that has been entrusted to us.
• The right of rectification: If you consider that we hold inaccurate or incomplete data, you have the right to have it amended.
• The right to withdraw your consent at any time for the processing of your data subject to your consent.
• The right to object: If you consider that our processing is not legitimate because it creates an imbalance between our interests and yours, you may object to such processing.
• The right to portability: You may ask us to transfer your data to a third party so that they can carry out processing on our behalf, if this is technically possible.
• The right to erasure, also known as the ‘right to be forgotten’: You may request the deletion of all your personal data, if your request corresponds to one of the situations provided for by law.

• The right to restrict processing: This is a temporary right allowing you to control how we use your personal data while we process another of your rights, listed above.

9. How can you exercise your rights?
